As I’m writing this, it’s a beautiful day and I’m in the middle of creating new products in the workshop. New ideas are coming to life — teddy bear candles and coffee candles are currently in progress.

Because creativity at Mela never stops.

Each new product is made with the same intention: Would I love this in my own home? If the answer is yes — it becomes part of the collection.

Candle Care & Instructions (Very Important)

To get the best performance and longest life from your candle, follow these simple rules:

First Burn Rule

Let the candle burn for 2–3 hours on the first use until the entire top layer melts to the edges.

This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for the rest of the candle’s life.

Wick Care

Trim the wick to 5 mm before each burn.

This prevents soot, smoke, and uneven flames.

Burn Time

Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle unattended

Keep away from children and pets

Place on a heat-resistant surface

Keep away from drafts

After Use

Allow the wax to cool before placing the bamboo lid back on.

How Soy Candles Are Made (Our Process)

Natural soy wax is gently melted at controlled temperature.

Fragrance oils are added at the perfect moment for maximum scent retention.

The wax is hand-poured into glass jars.

Each candle cures for several days to ensure optimal scent throw.

Wicks are trimmed, jars cleaned, labels applied by hand.

Every candle is checked before packing.
